Marina One is said to be ready for completion by the middle of this year 2017. As of now, the office space is said to be about up to 60% pre-leased.
Marina One Developer, M+S, reiterated that it had secured tenants for more than one million sq ft of the 1.88 million sq ft Grade A office space at the integrated development in Marina Bay downtown area.
The prime Marina Bay area has attracted many multi-national companies to move their older commercial building to this attractive location and larger floor plates.
So far, Marina One tenants are Swiss private bank Julius Baer, consultancy firm PwC Singapore, co-working space provider JustCo, agri-business Olam International, social media giant Facebook and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group ( MUFG).
MUFG is said to be occupying 140,000 sq ft over 3 1/2 floors at Marina One. MUFG lease at Republic Plaza, where it has been for 20 years, runs out in the third quarter this year.
The Marina One Project consists of retail space, office space and residential home. The retail space offers some of the largest office floor plates in Marina Bay, ranging from 34,000 sq ft to 40,000 sq ft. Also they have attracted anchor tenants such as fitness club Virgin Active, Cold Storage supermarket and Cookhouse by Koufu food court. They have also signed up Japanese restaurant Teppei Syokudo, Pizza Express and Majestic restaurant, which will take up a pace overlooking a vast garden known as Green Heart.
A similar concept to Marina One is the Duo Residences. Pizza Express is also taking up a space at Duo Residences. Other tenants include Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant and Peruvian eatery TONO.
Duo Residences is also an integrated development like Marina One site. It comprises office space, retail, residential and also a hotel. It is expected to be ready by 1st half of this year 2017.
Office tenants in Duo include MasterCard, pharmeutical firm Abbot and business consultancy Golden Equator Group.
